AIA Singapore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NHG Health to strengthen Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem. The collaboration focuses on delivering innovative care models, advancing Value-Based Care (VBC), and promoting preventive health programmes to ensure care remains sustainable and affordable for residents.

A Collaborative Approach to Health

The agreement was signed by Ms. Wong Sze Keed, CEO of AIA Singapore, and Professor Joe Sim, Group CEO of NHG Health, at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Both organisations will:

Develop innovative healthcare solutions by exploring new models of sustainable care.
Implement Value-Based Care, improving health outcomes for AIA policyholders while keeping costs manageable.
Promote population health through initiatives that encourage prevention, early intervention, and healthier lifestyles.

Ms. Wong described the partnership as part of AIA’s vision to empower Singaporeans to live “Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.” She noted that combining AIA’s expertise in protection and wellness with NHG Health’s clinical and public health knowledge will create solutions that address rising healthcare challenges.

Professor Sim highlighted that aligning financing with healthier behaviours supports better quality of life while achieving cost efficiencies across the system.

Extending AIA’s Healthcare Commitment

This partnership builds on AIA Singapore’s recent efforts to broaden healthcare accessibility. In 2024, AIA expanded benefits for its members by introducing:

On-demand teleconsultations, mental wellness support, paediatric services, and home health screenings for personal policyholders.
First-in-market enhancements to corporate insurance plans, including expanded inpatient mental health coverage, benefiting more than 1.3 million employees in Singapore—about 20% of the national population—at no additional premiums.

Together with NHG Health, AIA Singapore continues to innovate in preventive care and value-driven healthcare, reinforcing its dedication to both policyholders and the wider Singapore population.
