A New Milestone in Community Health
SATA CommHealth has opened its first dedicated Dialysis Centre at Fernvale, marking a significant expansion of its role in community healthcare. The purpose-built facility currently operates 15 dialysis stations, with capacity to scale up to 25 as demand grows. Designed to meet the rising rates of chronic kidney disease in Singapore, the centre provides both haemodialysis and haemodiafiltration treatments in a setting focused on accessibility, affordability, and patient-centred care.
Supporting a Growing Need for Renal Services
Kidney disease remains a growing public health concern in Singapore, with lifestyle habits such as high salt intake and sedentary behaviour contributing to increasing rates of kidney failure. Dialysis is often a lifelong necessity, typically performed three times a week. By situating the centre in the heart of a residential community, SATA CommHealth aims to reduce the physical and emotional burden of travel, while ensuring patients can receive consistent, essential care close to home.
SATA CommHealth’s Central Reverse Osmosis System
Advanced Water Purification for Safe Dialysis
To ensure the highest safety standards, the centre uses an advanced Central Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment system designed to deliver dialysis-grade water of stringent purity. The system features double-stage filtration, ISO-aligned water quality, heat disinfection capabilities, real-time monitoring, and an ECO mode that reduces water consumption. These measures help minimise bacterial risks, ensure consistently clean dialysis water, and support sustainable long-term operations.
Holistic, Personalised Patient Care
Each patient at the centre receives a dialysis prescription tailored to their medical needs, with dedicated nursing teams conducting assessments before, during, and after each session. Beyond treatment, the centre provides extensive education for both patients and caregivers on nutrition, fluid management, vascular access care, and medication adherence. Home visits are also part of the care model, offering a deeper understanding of patients’ psychosocial needs, living conditions, and support systems.

Community Support and Corporate Partnerships
The centre’s mission is strengthened by community partners such as IX Metals, which is donating a standby dialysis machine to help ensure uninterrupted care. This contribution supports continuity of treatment—critical, as even one missed dialysis session can pose significant health risks.

Comprehensive Services Beyond Dialysis
The Dialysis Centre integrates seamlessly with SATA CommHealth’s broader network of medical services—including health screenings, chronic disease management, day rehabilitation, and home-based care. Additional patient support includes body composition monitoring, hydration assessments, individualised dietary counselling, and strict infection prevention protocols. All clinical staff are specially trained to uphold dignity, safety, and professionalism throughout each patient’s care journey.
Expanding Access and Preventing Disease
Located at 410 Fernvale Road, the centre operates from Monday to Saturday and will progressively extend its hours into the late evening. SATA CommHealth continues to prioritise prevention and early detection of kidney disease through community education and integrated health programmes, aiming not only to treat chronic illness but also to slow its progression.
