For the past 50 years, the Singapore Heart Foundation has been championing the battle against heart disease, including for women. Go Red for Women 2021 aims to educate women on staying heart healthy through a 360-degree approach for a heart-healthier lifestyle.
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of death worldwide, regardless of gender. In 2019, CVD accounted for 27.4% of all female deaths in Singapore. From 6 March to 9 May, Go Red for Women 2021 Virtual will feature a heart-pumping line-up of exciting programmes! Participants can register their interest to attend health talks on Zoom, where cardiologists and other healthcare professionals will be sharing on women’s heart health in correlation to emotional stress and menopause.
Other event highlights include the introduction of the Go Red for Women 2021 microsite: an informative, engaging and interactive platform for all to learn about women’s heart health, follow cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs Sam and Forest Leong, and get moving and grooving to virtual workouts at home!
