It’s Father’s Day this Sunday and while Phase 2 in Singapore means that we’re now allowed to dine out (with a maximum of five per group), some of you might still prefer to celebrate in the comfort of home. If you’re still undecided about what to get for daddy dearest, here are some suggestions!

Cakes & Desserts

Kopi O’ Cat Mountain King Durian Cake

Let’s start off with the sweet treats first and Pine Garden has created a couple of special flavours just for Father’s Day 2020! First up is their Kopi O’ Cat Mountain King Durian Cake for the durian lovers. Pine Garden has combined two of their best selling flavours – coffee and Cat Mountain King Durian into one. The result is a cake that creamy and full of fragrant durian. If you want to, you can add on actual durian to the middle of the cake so that dad will have a pleasant surprise while cutting into it! Definitely a decadent treat!

Gula Melaka Chiffon Cake with Grated Coconut

If durian isn’t your father’s thing. You might want to feed dad this Gula Melaka Chiffon cake instead. The light chiffon cake is paired with velvety buttercream and homecooked grated coconut, finished off with an exterior of fresh cream. You will get to squeeze some gula melaka syrup for that extra kick! We loved the fluffiness of the cake while still being able to appreciate the texture of the grated coconut and the distinct taste of gula melaka.
