If mum prefers something a little more spicy and sophisticated, then perhaps the new FLOWER BY KENZO L’Absolue Eau de Parfum might suit her instead. Exploring the heart of the poppy flower, it is masterly composed by Alberto Morillas, the perfume designer for the very first Flower By Kenzo fragrance. The new fragrance depicts a spicy and sophisticated facet of the poppy signed by the most precious pistil: the red gold, Saffron. Enveloped in FLOWER BY KENZO perfumes’ signature vanilla and white musk, this absolute bouquet blossoms with a new sensuality.

As part of the House’s eco-friendly approach to sustainability in fragrances, the 100ml fragrance bottle and cap have also been redesigned to incorporate at least 15% recycled glass and 25% less plastic. Meanwhile, its outer pack is made of cardboard from sustainably managed FSC forests and printed with bio-based plant inks.

The new FLOWER BY KENZO L’Absolue Eau de Parfum is now available at all Sephora stores and online.

7. Keeping fit with Breathe Pilates

Doesn’t matter what age mum is, it is important to keep mobile and stay fit for overall health. Which is why we love Breathe Pilates as they understand that  fitness doesn’t come in a single size and they have an inclusive environment that welcomes all – regardless of age, fitness level or body type.

As such, your mother need not fear about not being fit and can attend an array of classes that are catered to her needs, including rehabilitative Pilates, reformer Pilates or those for seniors.

Breathe Pilates also has four studios that are conveniently located around the island.

Indulge in Longevity Noodles topped with fiery juicy Black Pepper River Prawns – a symbol of good health and long life. Opt for the six-course menu to enjoy a Braised Pork Knuckle, symbolising prosperity, and the pièce de résistance of a Half Boston Lobster with chilli crab sauce. End your meal on a sweet and refreshing note with our irresistible Chilled Cream of Avocado.

Located in the heart of Singapore’s CBD inside a heritage building, Hotel Telegraph’s Mother’s Day menus are perfect for diners who want to spoil their mums with a memorable dining experience.

9. Short holiday with the family

Based on your budget, why not plan a short holiday with mum? It could be with the whole family or just a mother-child vacation. Other than flying, you may also want to consider a cruise, which may be more affordable if you consider transport and food costs per day. Alternatively, a short getaway across the causeway might be good to unwind and spend some quality time with mummy dearest.

10. Get creative!

This gift could possibly be free! For example, you could give your mother a book of coupons that allows her to claim certain ‘services’ from you. For example, an hour of massage or to do the dishes that day etc.

If eating out is too expensive, perhaps cooking mum a meal full of her favourites might be better for you and will be more meaningful due to the effort to make the meal.
