If you’re a vegetarian, you might want to consider staying at Ovolo Hotel as it is the first hotel group to go completely vegetarian across all its restaurants, bars and food services for an entire year, as of 1 October 2020. Inspired to act on climate change and environmental conservation, the designer hotel collection is phasing out meat to focus on creating compelling plant-based cuisine instead.

Café Gray Deluxe, which set a new tone for Hong Kong’s luxury dining scene when it opened in 2009, will be closing on 31st December 2020. Its relaxed take on fine dining and warm, personalised service established The Upper House as a modern dining destination, fostering a strong local and international following and winning numerous awards. Prior to its closure, Café Gray Deluxe will present a curated menu that encapsulates the signature flavours and memories that guests have cherished over the 11 years. A new dining concept will be revealed in spring 2021.

As a farewell, and to celebrate Gray Kunz’s incredible culinary work, Café Gray Deluxe will present a unique menu featuring creations that best represent Chef Gray’s emblematic craft such as Tarragon Scented Lobster Bisque, Braised Short Rib of Beef and Chilled Soup of Chrysanthemum and Pear. Award-winning Cantonese restaurant Mott32 has come up with a Cantonese-accented seasonal menu to celebrate the holidays! Feast on their succulent free-range Barbecued Whole Turkey, which gets a contemporary Chinese twist – first served Peking Duck style with all the accompaniments, followed by Minced Turkey, served on a prawn cracker. Finally, a Shredded Turkey Salad featuring Field Greens and Sweet Mixed Chinese Pickles, served with cranberry dressing. The Peking Turkey menu will be available from 26 Nov to 30 Dec and is priced at HK$1,880+. Prior reservation and pre-order is required at least 48 hours in advance.
On Christmas itself, Mott32 will be offering an indulgent set menu that includes Roasted Turkey Salad, Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork, Foie Gras, a soup course, followed by a main course of the restaurant’s signature Apple Wood Roasted 42 Days Peking Duck, Braised Brussels Sprouts and more. It’ll end on a sweet note with a festive Chocolate Yule Log for dessert. The Christmas Set Menu is priced at HK$1,388+ per person for a 4-course meal of 10 sharing dishes, with an additional optional wine pairing for HK$480 per person.

LANDMARK is bringing a shopping experience reminiscent of the cinnamon-scented and yule-spirited Christmas markets that populate the streets of Europe with it’s Christmas Market, located on the third floor of LANDMARK ATRIUM, which has been transformed into a veritable Santa’s grotto that is full of seasonal atmosphere and festive cheer.
Expect to find the best selection of products and Christmas exclusives, as well as a dedicated Christmas Market Wine Shop that will be stocking exclusive bottles. Richard Ekkebus, acclaimed chef of Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, is treating shoppers to an original bakery concept created just for the pop-up market.
