Valentine’s Day is getting closer and while presents are an essential part of the occasion, there’s nothing more important than how you choose to spend it with your loved ones, Valentine’s is more than just a day for couples after all.

Thankfully, Singapore gives its inhabitants a wide array of places they can go to and enjoy this day of love where people can try out great food or just enjoy an event together. We’ve made our quick list of places to try, and we’re sure that they’ll give you Valentine’s Day like no other.

Artemis

Valentine’s Day offers are a dine a dozen, but this year Artemis opens its doors with a new set of dishes to die for. These Mediterranean-inspired meals will have you drooling with a four-course set menu priced at S$148++ per person, topped with a fantastic view of the city that you can’t get anywhere else.<

It’s not only the amount either, but Artemis is also sending out a new set of dishes for the 14th, with a Beetroot Tortellini, Black Cod, Milk-fed Veal Loin, White Shortcake and strawberry yoghurt ice cream.

Esquina

If you’re in the mood for the Mediterranean, then Esquina’s got a great selection of Spanish Tapas that you’ll be sure to enjoy. It’s not just any multi-course meal but a full on eight courses filled with well put together, and captivating dishes that’ll leave you and your partner satisfied.

Grab a taste of dishes like the Captivation which consists of egg, caviar and uni; the Coupling, an eel and mussel dish dipped in a spicy broth and the  Commitment, a calamari pork jowl with saffron. You can pick these recipes and more for only S$108, and you’ll even be able to accompany them with a colourful Cava Mimosa.

Halia

Those looking for a night away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and all other Valentine couple can rest easy. Nestled within the trees and botanic gardens are Halia a restaurant that offers a set of seafood dishes you can’t afford to miss.

Take a gander at Halia’s eleven-course meal at S$270 per couple that includes dishes such as the freshly chucked Irish Oysters, the Australia Bluefin tuna tartare, barramundi and a slow of cooked wagyu striploin. It’s not just the main dishes, Halia also offers guests a selection of desserts that’ll close off each night in a refreshing way.

Saveur

If you’re itching for fancier food, then Saveur serves up quality French food so divine and cheap that you’d feel you were transported to another world. Starting from February 10th to February 14th you and your partner will enjoy a three-course meal for only S$36 per person, a deal that’ll be hard to find in many other restaurants.

Start off the night with a Lobster Bisque and then move onto Savour’s bestsellers, either the Duck Confit Truffle Mash or Steak Au Poivre, two savoury main dishes. Lastly, there’s no better way to close the night than with some dessert so take a gander between Savour’s Dark Chocolate Fondant Cake or Mango Passionfruit Cake to scratch that sweet tooth. To top it off you can even get a bottle of wine for S$40 more.

Maru

Izakaya style dishes have been on the rise as of late, and Maru is no different. A relatively new restaurant, Maru uses Japanese and Korean recipes and gives them that modern Izakaya feels with an American twist. They’re pulling out all the stops for Valentine’s day, offering a four-course dinner with an exciting range of salads, appetisers, main dishes and desserts.

You can also try out the new additions such as the Camembert Fries with Blueberry Dip and Aburi Salmon Mentai as your starters. Then after that pick and choose the dishes that most call to you, all for S$39++ per person and they even come with a complimentary Kiss Me Cocktail.
