Chicken Manchurian

This dish is a traditional Chinese dish that anyone can enjoy, while the basis for it is similar to other dishes like the sweet and sour chicken, its emphasis on spiciness also helps in giving it a nice kick for more taste.

Prep Time: 25 Minutes/ Cook For: 30 Minutes/ Total Time: 1 Hour

Ingredients:

For the Sauce:

250 gm chicken mince 1 large capsicum-chopped fine
2 eggs, slightly beaten 3 tbsp corn flour
3/4 cup flour 1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp garlic paste 2 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp ginger paste 2 tsp salt
2 cups water 2 tsp soya sauce
2 tbsp oil 1/2 cup tomato puree
1 tsp finely chopped garlic 2 tbsp chopped celery or 1/4 tsp celery salt
1/2 cup finely chopped onions

Start off by mixing the chicken, egg, flour, garlic and ginger paste. Make sure to add enough water so that you can make the batter and it becomes thick (just like with the sweet and sour chicken), use the air fryer fry the pieces until they brown.

While the chicken is frying, you can also put 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan or wok and fry the garlic and onion. Make sure to turn it around a few times so that all the sides are cooked properly. Once that’s done you can add in the sauce mixture and wait till it becomes translucent.

Finally, put the sauce on the fried chicken balls and turn around a few times to really coat them in. Once this is done they’ll be ready to be served and enjoyed.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Fried chicken is good but even with an air fryer you can’t just keep eating fried stuff without consequence. Here you have a dish that is as good as the ones mentioned before if not better, precisely because it’s grilled and also easy to make.

Prep Time: 15 Minutes/ Cook For: 15 Minutes/ Total Time: 50 Minutes

Ingredients:

1/4 cup soy sauce 3 slices fresh ginger root
4 teaspoons sesame oil 2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons honey 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Start off by mixing the soy sauce, oil, honey, ginger root, and garlic in a microwave-safe bowl; this will of course go into the microwave once it’s properly mixed. Heat it in medium for one minute and then take it out to stir it a bit more and heat it again for thirty seconds. Be careful that it doesn’t boil when it heats though.

After it’s done make sure to place the chicken breasts on a shallow dish and add in the soy sauce mixture. Let it rest for about fifteen minutes while you preheat the grill to medium heat. Before putting the chicken on the grill make sure to rain any leftover marinade and boil it for five minutes at medium heat. Then, lightly oil the grill and cook the chicken on it for six to eight minutes on both sides.

As you’re cooking make sure to baste it with the leftover marinade until it browns. Once that’s done it’ll be ready to go and ready to eat.
