Singapore’s sporting calendar is set to welcome another major tennis event this September as the Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup 2026 returns to The Kallang. While much of the spotlight often falls on internationally recognised tournaments, this regional competition offers sports fans a chance to watch some of Southeast Asia’s most promising tennis players compete — without the need for a ticket.
Held just before the Singapore Tennis Open, the tournament also reflects Singapore’s growing role as a regional sporting hub, giving local audiences an opportunity to discover emerging talent before they reach the global stage.
A regional tournament featuring Southeast Asia’s top players
Taking place from 23 to 26 September 2026, the Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup (STIC) will bring together national teams from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia.
Organised by the Singapore Tennis Association in partnership with The Kallang Group, the competition will feature five events:

- Women’s Doubles
- Men’s Singles
- Men’s Doubles
- Mixed Doubles
Unlike individual professional tournaments, STIC follows a team-based format, allowing national players to compete alongside teammates while representing their countries. Singapore will enter the tournament as defending champions after winning the inaugural edition in 2025.

As part of this year’s tournament, three well-known Asian tennis players have been appointed ambassadors for the Singapore Tennis Open:

- Tamarine Tanasugarn (Thailand)
- Latisha Chan (Chinese Taipei)
Collectively, they have competed at the highest levels of international tennis, including Grand Slams and the WTA Finals. Their involvement highlights the organisers’ aim of inspiring young athletes while strengthening regional collaboration within the sport.

One of the biggest draws for local audiences is that entry to the Singapore Tennis Invitational Cup is completely free.
Matches will be held at the Kallang Tennis Hub, and spectators can simply walk in on a first-come, first-served basis. No Singapore Tennis Open ticket is required to attend STIC matches.
