Celebrating the spirit of friendship and wellness, Skechers, the Comfort Technology Company™ and a global lifestyle leader, marked the success of its first physical Skechers Friendship Walk since the pandemic, with a record-breaking turnout of over 4,000 participants, a 30% increase in participation compared to the last physical edition that was held in 2019.

Skechers Friendship Walk, which took place on Sunday, 3 September 2023 at Marina Bay Sands Event Square, saw participants of all ages completing either the 5km walking route, or the 10km competitive running route – a category introduced for the first time this year.

With the pledge to donate S$2 for every participation registration, Skechers raised S$8,000 which was fully donated to APSN (formerly known as Association for Persons with Special Needs), a social agency that provides special education, vocational training, and employment support services for individuals with mild intellectual disability (IQ 50-70).

Hosted by Mediacorp YES 933 DJ and Skechers Singapore Brand Spokesperson, Hazelle Teo (@heyhihazelle), celebrity attendees, including Lawrence Wong (@ohohlawrence), Actor and Skechers Singapore Brand Ambassador, alongside Pan Ling Ling (@panlinglingg), Huang Shi Nan (@shinanhuang), Hong Ling (@honglingg_), Nick Teo (@nickk_teo) and Lee Teng (@leeteng0530) added star-power to the event. They were all comfortably togged in Skechers Friendship Walk tee and Skechers Hands-Free Slip-Ins footwear.

After their walk or run, the participants enjoyed a myriad of interactive games at the Skechers Village, where they could win exciting prizes, including a chance to win a year’s FREE supply of Skechers shoes.

On-stage, Skechers celebrated the remarkable achievements of its participants. The winners of the 10km competitive run in both the men’s and women’s categories each walked home with a cash prize and a coveted pair of Skechers shoes.

The excitement continued with the Skechers Slip-Ins Challenge, where one lucky participant engaged in an enthralling musical shoes showdown on stage and won a brand-new pair of stylish and comfortable Skechers footwear.

Finally, the highly-anticipated Lucky Draw winner was announced, which saw one lucky participant winning the ultimate prize: a year’s FREE supply of Skechers footwear.
