Decluttering does not have to mean throwing things away. This September, Lendlease Malls is bringing together pre-loved fashion, recycling rewards and student-designed upcycled creations as part of its A New Lease of Life campaign.
The year-round initiative is an evolution of its You Won’t Believe It’s Trash campaign, with activities taking place at Parkway Parade and Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ). Whether you have clothes to clear out, recyclables piling up at home or simply want to see what discarded materials can become, here is what is happening.
Shop pre-loved fashion at Cloop’s Open Wardrobe
Cloop’s Open Wardrobe returns to Parkway Parade from 23 to 29 September 2026, offering 12 curated racks of pre-loved clothing across categories such as women’s and men’s fashion, vintage, activewear and batik.
Pieces will be available from S$10 each, making the pop-up an accessible way to refresh your wardrobe without necessarily buying new. A portion of the proceeds will also go towards charitable causes.
According to the organisers, last year’s edition helped rehome 2,500 pieces of clothing and raised S$3,680 for environmental and wildlife causes.

Exchange recyclables for Lendlease Plus$
If your spring-cleaning has left you with bags of bottles, cans, paper or textiles, the roving Collection Drive gives shoppers an added incentive to recycle them.
Participants can earn Lendlease Plus$ based on the type and quantity of recyclables dropped off:
- 200 Plus$ per plastic bottle or aluminium can
- 1,000 Plus$ per 1kg of paper
- 2,000 Plus$ per 1kg of textiles
The Paya Lebar Quarter collection point runs until 20 September, while Parkway Parade will host the drive from 23 to 29 September.

See how discarded materials can become new designs
The campaign also includes the Lendlease Malls x Temasek Polytechnic Design Exhibition, which showcases 10 student creations made from discarded materials.
The selected works range from wearable fashion and convertible bags to jewellery, furniture and eco-collectibles. Shoppers can view the designs and vote for their favourite entry while the exhibition moves between PLQ and Parkway Parade.

A practical reason to declutter
Sustainability campaigns can sometimes feel removed from everyday routines, but these activities are built around things many households already need to do: clear out unused clothes, dispose of recyclables responsibly and rethink what counts as waste.
If you are heading to either mall this month, it may be worth taking a look through your wardrobe or recycling pile before you go. You could clear some space at home, earn rewards on selected recyclables and see how unwanted materials can be reworked into something useful.
