This May Day, FairPrice Group (FPG) is offering a meaningful way to celebrate Singapore’s workforce while helping everyone stretch their dollar. In honour of May Day 2025 and Singapore’s 60th birthday (SG60), FPG has pledged over $5 million in savings for NTUC Union and Link members—its largest May Day commitment to date.

Running from 24 April to 31 May 2025, the initiative covers discounts on daily essentials, affordable meals at Kopitiam outlets, and stackable savings for seniors and healthcare cardholders. It’s part of FPG’s ongoing mission to make daily essentials more accessible for all Singaporeans.

Stretching Every Dollar: Weekly 50% Deals at FairPrice

Starting 24 April, NTUC Union and Link members can enjoy 50% off a different essential item every Thursday at FairPrice supermarkets and online. The first deal kicks off with the popular Milo Ready To Drink Tetra Packet 4 x (5s + 1s) 200ml set, available at just $7.80 (usual price: $15.60). New deals will be unveiled weekly on 1 May, 8 May, and 15 May.

Members simply need to present their physical Link Rewards or NTUC Union card, or pay via the FPG app, to enjoy the discounts.

50 Cents Hot Kopi and Teh at 70 Kopitiam Outlets

FPG and FairPrice Foundation are also bringing back the beloved 50 cents hot kopi (coffee) and teh (tea) deal throughout May. Available across 70 Kopitiam outlets, this heartfelt promotion lets members enjoy their favourite local brews at an unbeatable price. Payment can be made through the FPG app or by showing a physical silver NTUC Union card.

A Broader Commitment to Affordability and Community

Beyond May Day, FairPrice Group has introduced several SG60 initiatives this year, including freezing prices on popular produce during Chinese New Year, enhancing discounts for Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) cardholders, and supporting families through FairPrice Return Vouchers.

Vipul Chawla, Group CEO of FairPrice Group, affirmed that despite global uncertainties, FPG remains steadfast in making daily essentials affordable. “This May Day, we especially want to recognise Singapore’s workers and frontliners,” he said. “Our discounts are a way of giving back and helping everyone in Singapore live healthier, more fulfilling lives.”

NTUC’s Assistant Secretary-General and May Day Committee Chairperson Caryn Lim also emphasised the importance of supporting workers and their families during these times. “These savings can ease day-to-day expenses and stretch every dollar,” she said, encouraging members to fully utilise the promotions.
