I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Heavenly Head Spa (S$298 for 90 minutes) at TrichoLab‘s flagship store, and I must say, it was an absolutely blissful experience. When you first set foot into TrichoLab, a consultant will scan your scalp to access your hair and scalp health and then be better able to personalise the solution for your needs.
Drawing inspiration from the four elemental forces of Earth, Water, Air and Fire, each element is crafted to offer bespoke treatments targeting specific scalp and hair needs.
Pre-spa scalp analysis
Thankfully, my scalp is relatively healthy and there wasn’t any clogged follicles although my hair was thinning and a bit dry at the ends. As such, my consultant decided that the Water: Hydration Treatment was suitable for me to restore vitality and shine on my crown.
Each Heavenly Head Spa takes place in dedicated private rooms, which means that TrichoLab is a Hijab-friendly spa and they also have therapists for Hijab-wearing individuals. The moment I stepped into the serene ambiance of one of these private rooms, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and luxury, setting the stage for a truly indulgent session. Moreover, you’ll find yourself seated on a Takara Belmont chair which was comfortable and…get this…you never have to leave your chair. Even when they wash, rinse and massage your head.
The treatment began with a warm welcome massage using a high-pressure air aroma mist, instantly relaxing me and preparing my mind and body for the pampering that was to follow. The attention to detail was impeccable, with every step of the process designed to enhance relaxation and rejuvenation.
One of the standout features of the Water: Hydration Treatment is the application of Immunolock serum using a nanospray and hydration nanomachine. This advanced technique ensures that the serum is deeply absorbed into the scalp, providing intense hydration and nourishment to every strand of hair. The feeling of the cool mist on my scalp was incredibly soothing, and I could almost feel my hair drinking in the moisture.
The treatment also included a luxurious shampoo with a micro bubble generator, which cleansed my scalp and hair thoroughly without stripping away essential oils. The sensation of the micro bubbles was light and refreshing, and it left my hair feeling exceptionally clean.
One of the highlights of the treatment was the application of hyaluronic acid peels along with 15 minutes of atomising steam. This step provided deep hydration to my scalp, ensuring that my hair remained moisturised and healthy long after the treatment was over. The warmth of the steam combined with the hydrating properties of the hyaluronic acid left my scalp feeling incredibly soft and supple.
The final touches of the treatment (and my favourite) included a head spa shoulder treatment and hand therapy care. These additional pampering sessions were the perfect way to conclude the experience, leaving me feeling completely relaxed from head to toe. The skilled therapists at TrichoLab truly know how to make you feel special, and their expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire session.
Post-spa scalp analysis
I was so relaxed during the treatment that I actually fell asleep, which is a testament to how soothing and calming the entire experience was. Waking up to find my hair looking shiny, hydrated, and full of life was a wonderful surprise. As you can see from my post-spa scalp scan, my scalp was visibly less oily and looks a lot more ‘plumped up’. I can imagine that the pre- and post-scalp analysis provided by the experts at TrichoLab would provide valuable insights into one’s hair and scalp health, allowing one to understand and address specific needs better.
