Halloween is an opportunity to try makeup looks that might feel too dramatic for everyday wear. Whether you prefer gothic glamour, a fairy-inspired glow or futuristic metallics, your beauty choices can be just as expressive as your costume.
In Singapore’s humid weather, comfort and staying power matter too. Here are some of the makeup, fragrance and skincare launches to explore this Halloween, with prices in Singapore dollars.
Start with a hydrated base
Makeup generally sits better on skin that has been gently cleansed and moisturised. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops (40ml, S$59) are designed to add radiance, while the LHA + AHA Watermelon Exfoliating Toner Pads (S$48) contain exfoliating acids and watermelon enzymes to help smooth the appearance of skin texture. The Watermelon Milk Peptide Glow Cushion Cream (50ml, S$64) combines peptides and moisturising ingredients; the brand claims up to 100 hours of hydration.
Those with sensitive skin should avoid testing a new acid-based exfoliant immediately before a big night out. For lips, Tatcha The Melting Lip Balm (S$47) offers a balm-to-oil texture that can be worn alone or used before lipstick.
Experiment with graphic eyes

Eye makeup is one way to make a Halloween look distinctive without elaborate face paint. Launched on 2 October, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dramaline Longwear Eyeliner (S$34) comes in eight matte, metallic and duo-chrome shades. The waterproof, smudge-resistant formula is advertised to last up to 12 hours.
Try Total Eclipse, a deep black, for a dramatic wing; Rosewire, which shifts from lavender to pink, for an iridescent look; or Chrome Acid, a metallic emerald green, for futuristic makeup.
For colour across the lids, the brand’s Glidr Shadow Stick (S$43) comes in 25 shades with matte, shimmer and sparkle options. Its creamy formula can be applied and blended without brushes and used as eyeshadow, liner or a highlight. Anastasia Beverly Hills claims up to 12 hours of wear.
Pick a lip finish
For statement colour, TOM FORD Runway Clutch-Size Lip Color (S$51) includes reds and deeper berry shades in a compact format for touch-ups.
Prefer a blurred finish? Glow Recipe PDRN+ Tinted Soft Matte Lip Blur Balm (S$31), launching on 27 October 2026, offers a diffused matte look. Alternatively, Glow Recipe Glass Balm (S$34) adds a glossy effect and can be layered over another lip colour.
Finish with fragrance
The reformulated Sol de Janeiro Intense Mists (90ml, S$53) are available in Cheirosa 62, 59 and 74, with the brand claiming longevity of up to 10 hours. For an easy-to-carry option, Sol de Janeiro Jelly Balms (S$43) are alcohol-free solid fragrances that can be applied to the wrists or neck.
For a citrus-led alternative, TOM FORD Taormina Orange Eau de Parfum (30ml, S$305) offers a more luxurious option.
Remove your makeup carefully after the party
After hours of long-wear eyeliner, glitter or face paint, thorough but gentle removal is more important than an elaborate recovery routine. Use a makeup remover suited to the products you’ve worn, especially around the eyes, then cleanse and moisturise. Avoid rubbing the skin aggressively.
For body shimmer, Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Scrub (S$69) combines crushed cupuaçu seeds and sugar crystals for physical exfoliation. It should not be used on irritated or damaged skin.
Tatcha’s Matcha Glow Ritual includes The Matcha Foam Cleanse (150ml, S$62), The Longevity Serum (30ml, S$125) and The Water Cream (50ml, S$117), with an emphasis on cleansing and lightweight hydration.
For those who prefer richer overnight products, Avène’s DermAbsolu range includes the Concentrated Resculpting Serum (30ml, S$108.90), Filler Eye Contour Cream (15ml, S$81.90) and Intensive Resculpting Night Cream (40ml, S$114.70). The Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray (50ml, S$11.50) is another option in the suggested routine. The brand says the night cream can also be applied as a thicker layer for 10 minutes before removing excess product.
There is no need to buy a complete routine just for Halloween. Choose products that suit your skin, and test unfamiliar formulas beforehand where possible.
