Singapore’s first-ever AI-powered wellness companion portal, Health Hub, is now available to the public. The platform is designed to meet the need for the accessibility of AI support when human coaching or traditional fitness services are otherwise unavailable, following a global trend where approximately 65% of health-related activities at home now occur well outside of traditional business hours. Health Hub utilises machine learning and natural language processing to translate user responses into personalised diet plans, workout routine recommendations, and live-time mental health counselling chats.

“While health and fitness have traditionally relied more heavily on face-to-face coaching and community support, we believe the integration of AI can open up new possibilities for home training and wellness,” says Terrence Ho, Project Manager of Health Hub. “Our goal is not to replace human coaches but to supplement them — as an intelligent companion that provides customised wellness advice anytime, anywhere, an especially valuable helping hand when in-person resources are not immediately available.”

A digital initiative by holistic wellness advocates Nano Singapore, the portal’s information logic systems are reviewed by registered nutritionists and health experts.

As a health companion with in-built natural language capabilities, Health Hub is also able to respond to general health queries in a conversational manner. This extends to the portal’s comprehensive mental health counselling chats, which are designed to walk users through stress management techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation exercises, guided meditation, deep breathing, and cognitive-behavioural adjustment advice.

Additionally, Health Hub is also home to an extensive library of over 800 free video resources to better support users in multiple aspects of their health journey. The videos cover a wide range of physical and mental wellness topics, as well as follow-along workouts and practical exercises that can be easily incorporated into daily routines.

Dr. John Lee, Medical Advisor to Singapore Ecommerce Centre, adds: “Consistency is a core component of health management, and intelligent technology is now offering new ways for people to monitor and support their well-being around the clock. That’s why platforms like Health Hub have the potential to grow into a vital support system not just for its clients but for medical professionals, as it makes short-term care measures more accessible.”

On top of its current repository of resources, Health Hub is working to expand its digital health network to also display and curate content from top partner sites. The portal is free to use and can be accessed at www.healthhub.nanosingaporeshop.com.
