FairPrice Group and ExxonMobil Raised over $65,000 for the Children’s Aid Society with 10th Charity Car Wash

FairPrice Group (FPG) and ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (ExxonMobil) commemorated 21 years of strategic partnership with their 10th charity car wash event today. Over 60 volunteers from FPG, ExxonMobil, and other partners contributed their time to dry cars at the Esso Station at 399 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, raising over $65,000 that will be donated to the Children’s Aid Society (CAS). The proceeds will go towards supporting children and youths who have experienced adverse life circumstances such as abuse or neglect.

Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration joined volunteers in drying cars at the event, and presented tokens of appreciation to the event’s sponsors.

Mr Alvin Goh, CAS Executive Director, said, “We are grateful for the steadfast support from FairPrice, ExxonMobil and the community over the past three years. Their commitment has not only been instrumental in raising vital funds but has also brought us closer to realising our vision for Melrose Village. We look forward to increasing our level of care, incorporating international best practices for our children and youths to heal, grow and have a better chance of having a happy and productive life.”

Since the first Charity Car Wash in 2012, the initiative has supported various philanthropic causes and welfare organisations in Singapore, including the Lions Befrienders Service Association (Singapore), Children-at-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE), and the Disabled People’s Association.
