The Japan Tea Festival returns to Singapore this October, bringing a rare opportunity to experience the depth and diversity of Japanese tea culture. Organised by the Japan Tea Industry Association with the support of JETRO and JFOODO, the festival invites visitors to savour teas from more than 15 regions of Japan, including celebrated varieties from Kyoto, Shizuoka, and Kagoshima.
Festival highlights include:

Rare tea tastings – Discover exquisite sencha, gyokuro, matcha, and hidden regional gems.

Obaku Baisa-ryu Sencha Ceremony – A live demonstration by Professor Sosen Nakai, showcasing refined sencha traditions.

Food pairings – Japanese sweets by ABC Cooking Studio Singapore designed to complement the teas.

Cultural showcases – Featuring Fukujuen Singapore, Japan Rail Café, and JTB Singapore.
More than a tasting event, the festival reflects Japan’s 1,200-year tea heritage, where wellness, mindfulness, and harmony meet in every cup.
