Making Sense of Food Labels – Nutrition of Processed Foods
25/03/2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free
We are what we eat! Sorbitol, Calcium Propionate, Corn Syrup and Tartrazine – we may see them on the ingredient lists but what are these things? How about 104kcal per serving and 200mg of calcium per 100ml on the food labels? How much do you understand these figures and how to make use of them correctly?
Join us in this session to learn how to make sense of food labels so that you can make a healthier choice. There will be a practical activity where participants are encouraged to look at labels of their food products, and to apply them in the selection of different processed foods.
In addition, for businesses who are keen to explore how they can build a healthier and more engaged workforce, more details on the Workplace Outreach Wellness (WOW) package will be shared during the session. The WOW package provides companies access to affordable workplace health programmes that may be customised and delivered on site for your employees.
This webinar is organised in collaboration with HPB. No registration fee required.
Key takeaways:
- Understanding food labels for healthier choice
- Applying for affordable workplace health programmes for the benefit of your employees
