CÉ LA VI Singapore, the iconic rooftop destination, and the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) are proud to present SIFA X: LOVE DIVINE, an extraordinary performance featuring STILL LIVES (Marina Bay) by Daniel Kok and Luke George and CHILDREN OF VENUS by Queen of Burlesque, SUKKI. Get ready for a three-hour boundary-defying party-meets-art spectacle on 26 and 27 May 2023 at 7 pm in the Club Lounge, set against the backdrop of Singapore’s glittery cityscape, 57 storeys up.

As part of SIFA 2023 organised by Arts House Limited, the evening kicks off with STILL LIVES (Marina Bay), a stunning performance by rope artists Daniel Kok and Luke George, gradually binding a clientele of “High Net Worth Individuals” and/or “Social Influencers”. The durational rope art performance culminates in a suspension of the subjects, against the aerial backdrop, evoking a collective reflection of our relationship with wealth. By throwing the spotlight on a particular group of individuals, audiences are invited to meditate on the spectrum of human experience, in line with the title for SIFA 2023, The Anatomy of Performance – Some People.

After the rope art performance, guests are treated to CHILDREN OF VENUS, an incredible performance curated and directed by SUKKI (previously known as Sukki Singapora). Featuring burlesque trio The Glamourettes, renowned drag artist Becca D’Bus, contemporary sensual performer Francesca Harriman, aerial artist Adelene Chua, and burlesque aficionado Lychee Bye, this performance explodes with sass, taking guests on a journey from fever-pitch to hypnotic sensuality and back again. It embodies the heart and mission of SUKKI’s creative passions – defiant solidarity, freedom of expression and feminist power that transcends labels, all crystalising in her visionary evocation of Botticelli’s iconic birth of Venus.

CÉ LA VI Singapore invites you to participate in Executive Chef Maksym Chukanov’s own culinary theatre with the Parmesan Custard & Jam Brioche, a warm, soft pillowy brioche bun exploding with a velvety salted parmesan cheese and fruit preserves custard. Chef Maksym has an instinct for experimentation, and this exquisite vegetarian-friendly snack complements the two-day electrifying spectacle that leaves guests at the edge of their seats.
