Handcrafted artistry for stylish homes

(Left to right) Studio Karyn Lim, TANCHEN Studio

Art meets interior design through the creations of Karyn Lim, a Singapore-based industrial designer and former recipient of the Boutique’s Young Designers Showcase grant. Exploring craftsmanship techniques and materiality, her works are a unique addition to any home. Her exhibition will include a collection of wearable accessories, Lightness, which comprises visually cohesive pieces woven from different materials, each imbued with the ethos of lightness. She will also be exhibiting So Plast!c, a collection crafted from recycled plastic waste, which seeks to transform the narrative of the oft-disposed material by turning it into enduring pieces for interior spaces.

Spearheaded by Sanchia Tan and Amber Chen, TANCHEN Studio is a collaboration centred around textiles. Their process-based approach to design underscores a dedication to innovation, focusing on new materials and tactility. With studios situated in both Singapore and Shanghai, TANCHEN Studio creates functional textiles that can be used as autonomous and artful elements within a living space.
