SUMMARY:Virtual: Break The Wall of Silence – An Interactive Talk by Anju Kish
DESCRIPTION:Break The Wall of Silence – An Interactive Talk by Anju Kish\, Sex Educator\, Author\, Founder\, UnTaboo\nParenting does not come with a user manual! \n\nMy child likes to run around naked in the house. Till what age is that ok?\nMy child saw my sanitary napkins and asked what it is. What shall I say?\nMy child is asking how does the baby get into the mother’s tummy?\nChild sexual abuse cases are on the rise. How can I protect my little one?\nIs it ok for my child to see the parents being physically affectionate?\nMy child is playing with his private parts\, should I stop him?\n\nAs the kids grow… so does their curiosity. \n\nHow do the Parents tackle this curiousity?\nDo you initiate the conversation even if the child is not asking?\nWhen and how to start having these conversations?\nWho should have this conversation with the child?\nHow to answer the awkward questions kids ask?\nHow to create an open relationship with kids?\n\nAll this and more…. \nIn an exclusive talk for parents on Zoom. \nThe increasing exposure of Kids to adult content has raised their curiosity levels \nSome openly ask what’s on their mind while most turn to the internet to satisfy their curiosity. \nAge-inappropriate content on the internet is creating havoc \nThe solution lies in Sex Education \nIt gives kids age-appropriate answers & helps them form responsible & safe attitudes \nThe term ‘Sex Education’ could be a scary one for a parent. \nWe are scared because we do not understand what it means & construe it to be a talk on sex with our children\, and thus run away from it. Parents also shy away from sex education as they themselves lack clarity on concepts & feel ill equipped to tackle questions. \nSex education is not just about sex. It is a wide term and even kids as young as 2 need sex education! \nWell\, attend UnTaboo’s highly enlightening\, interactive\, impactful & fun session! \nBREAK THE WALL OF SILENCE \nTo know & to understand: \n\nWhat all does Sex Education cover\nWhen & how to start having these conversations\nWho should have this conversation with the kids\nHow much is enough\nThe impact: positive & negative of having or not having this conversation.\nHow to answer the awkward questions kids ask\nHow to create an open relationship with kids & teens\nHow to become an askable parent\n\nBut it doesn’t just end there. \n\nThe talk helps you get over your inhibitions\nEnables understanding on various sex-ed related topics including gender\, sexuality\, & more\nIt empowers you to naturally talk to children & create a closer bond with them\n\nThis session is designed to break down walls\, understand concepts\, enable open conversations\, make awkward subjects not so awkward\, and put a parent on the path of becoming an askable parent. It is a liberating experience both for the parent and the child. \nAnd most importantly\, makes you a part of big social change to raise a more aware and responsible future generation\, leading to a safer society. \nDuration of the Talk: 2 hours – VERY INTERACTIVE SESSION USING AUDIO-VISUAL MEDIUM \nNumber of Participants:  Any number (Parents of children aged 2 to 21) \nHappy participants speak… \n“I thought I was very liberal and open minded and could talk openly to my kids\, but Anju’s talk opened my eyes to a completely new perspective. It’s an extremely impactful talk and she makes it super interactive and fun!” – Aneesha Patel\, Indore \n “The talk conducted by Anju Kish was able to bring clarity in the minds of teachers and parents and dispel a lot of myths. It was an eye-opener of how ignorant they were on certain issues and at the same time a great exposure on how to handle queries on such issues. Ms. Anju handled the sessions with ease and great poise. A great session and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.” – Garimaa Sethi – School Counselor\, Mayo College\, Ajmer \nDate: Sat 16 March 2024 \nTime: 4 – 5:30p.m. SGT \nPlatform: Zoom \nInvestment: S$25 \nThis session will not be recorded.

SUMMARY:Great Green Run
DESCRIPTION:Sustainability-centric business communication solutions platform\, Greenbees and international sports event management company\, TriFactor announced the launch of its first sustainability-driven ‘Great Green Run’ today\, which is set to take place on 24 September 2023 at Great Green Run’s venue partner\, Marina Barrage. \nGreat Green Run is designed to serve as a platform to rally and inspire individuals\, corporations and communities into sustainability advocacy and action. In efforts to promote sustainability\, Great Green Run will also be one of the first sporting events to publicly share its carbon footprint and sustainability initiatives report which will be reviewed and verified by the Singapore Environmental Council (SEC). In addition to this\, every participant is encouraged to make an individual sustainability pledge upon registration\, with options to choose from the five selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. \n5 Selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals\n\n\n\nGood health and well-being\nS$3\n\n\nSustainable cities and communities\nS$11\n\n\nResponsible consumption & production\nS$12\n\n\nClimate action\nS$13\n\n\nLife below water\nS$14\n\n\n\n  \nThe run on 24 September 2023 at Marina Barrage will be divided into two categories – corporate and community run. For the corporate run\, more than 2\,000 professionals\, managers\, executives and technicians (PMETs) from over 50 multinational corporations (MNCs) as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are expected to participate. Among the notable corporations that have shown their interest are RSM Singapore\, CapitaLand\, CIMB Singapore\, SISTIC Singapore and National Healthcare Group. On the other hand\, Great Green Run is expecting more than 3\,000 avid and leisure runners to take part in the community run. \nCIMB Singapore is the presenting sponsor of Great Green Run. The bank has been an active proponent of the Environmental\, Social\, and Governance (ESG) agenda and is the first ASEAN bank to sign the industry-led\, UN-convened Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA)\, a member of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ). CIMB is also continuously stepping up on its sustainability innovation in order to achieve its ambition of becoming a leading ASEAN bank and a sustainability leader. Over the past two years\, CIMB Singapore has executed several significant sustainable financing transactions. In 2022\, CIMB Group doubled its sustainable finance target to RM60 billion by 2024 after having met its original target of RM30 billion two years ahead of schedule. \n \n“Awareness is the first step to any change. As a leading ASEAN bank\, our greater purpose is to advance customers and society towards a sustainable future. We advocate sustainable practices for ourselves as an organisation as well as encourage our people to actively participate in initiatives contributing to positive environmental and social impact. As the presenting sponsor of Great Green Run\, we hope to amplify the awareness on sustainability through our network of partners and communities\, and to inspire a positive change within our circle of influence on integrating sustainable practices in our daily lives\,” said Victor Lee\, Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Singapore. \n“TriFactor is determined to incorporate and champion sustainability practices in all our local and international TriFactor events\, spearheaded by Great Green Run. We are honoured to have CIMB Singapore onboard as our presenting sponsor in our inaugural event in Singapore and to be working together with several key government agencies and sustainability partners\,” said Elvin Ting\, Founder of Orange Room & TriFactor. \n“We are thrilled to organise our inaugural Great Green Run\, in partnership with TriFactor\, the leading multisport brand in Asia. With a strong aim to be the standard bearer of sustainable sporting events\, we wanted a running event because the activity itself has a relatively low environmental impact compared to other sports. We believe running connects people and builds community – you meet new people\, you spend time with people\, and you talk to people with collective shared values.
