SUMMARY:The Art and Science of Pompoir
DESCRIPTION:Have you heard of the Singapore Grip? If not\, read the article or watch the video here. \nIt involves a sexual technique in which the woman uses her vaginal muscles to stimulate the man’s penis. \nIn this 4-part\, no nudity virtual workshop series\, Relationship Counsellor & Clinical Sexologist\, Dr Martha Tara Lee\, will be teaching the basis of how you can begin to and work towards mastering doing the Singapore Grip.  This will be a safe space we are co-creating where you can also ask questions around love\, sex\, dating and relationship. \nAll questions\, tears and emotions are welcomed. This session is however\, only open to vagina owners. \n\n\n\nSession 1\nWhat is Pompoir? Basics of Pompoir\n\n\nSession 2\nMore than the Basics: Advance Pompoir Techniques\n\n\nSession 3\nPompoiring as a way of life\n\n\nSession 4\nEcstasy and Beyond with your partner\n\n\n\n  \nOn confidentiality – Through using zoom\, you can always choose to “change name”\, turn your video on/off and/or mute yourself. You can also private message the presenter your questions and are welcomed to participate to the level you feel comfortable with. \nDates: Tuesdays\, 23 Feb; 2\, 9\, 16 Mar\nTime: 7.30 – 9pm (Singapore time\, GMT +8)\nFee: S$100 (recording available to registered participants)\nRegistration: https://www.eroscoaching.com/events/the-art-and-science-of-pompoir-2/ \nTestimonials\n\n\n\n\nPompoir workshop with Dr Martha Lee (meeting you in general actually\, haha) is one of the highlights of my 2020. At age 32\, I have not explored that much about the pelvic floor area – its potential and the wonders it can do. The course is nicely paced in a friendly and nurturing environment. It was nice to learn and explore it in a group of ladies with varying intentions and experiences – exchanging notes\, feedback and tips. The workshop did not just get me acquainted with the muscles down there but also helped me to get to know more of myself overall.”\n– K 33\, Philippines \n\n\nGoing into the workshop\, I already know what Kegels was. I thought it was just squeezing the pelvic muscles and that was it. Boy\, was I wrong! Getting into it\, I didn’t know that there is more to keels than just that. Being in the workshops that Martha held made me realise that there are different aspects of keels that I didn’t know. We were taught how to be aware of our body more\, squeezing the muscles not just for the sake of squeezing but to acknowledge the different parts that we are engaging. Who knew that there are so many muscles involved?! This made me aware of my body and how I can activate different parts of me I was never conscious about. \nMartha provided an extensive view of what Kegels is\, how it benefits me and the different exercises I can incorporate in my daily life (that I can do for a few minutes a day). How easy is that? She made sure everyone is comfortable all throughout. Thank you Martha\, for teaching such a wonderful workshop! I enjoyed it immensely. Now\, time to practice what I’ve learned! :)”\n– Danielle \n\n\n\n\n  \n\nImage: Eros Coaching

SUMMARY:Singapore Vegan Festival 2020
DESCRIPTION:Singapore Vegan Festival by EatRoamLive is back in a never seen before avatar – a fully immersive virtual festival where you can shop\, eat\, learn and have fun\, all from the comfort of your home. After the success of the inaugural Singapore Vegan Festival in 2019 which saw over 2000 visitors\, a second edition was warranted. In sync with the new normal\, this will be a one-of-a-kind festival which will recreate the ultimate vegan experience under a virtual roof. On 21st and 22nd November\, the festival will bring together the best of vegan delights in Singapore\, across categories\, cuisines\, and cultures. \nWhile the pandemic won’t allow people to congregate any time soon\, it has also nudged the world to find innovative ways to bring communities together. In the same vein\, the Singapore Vegan Festival has been gamified in such a way that guests can navigate the convention like they’re actually there. An array of virtual stalls of vegan products\, vegan food and beverages will be on offer – think gourmet vegan cheese\, gluten and dairy-free desserts\, healthy snacks\, plant-based meats\, cruelty-free skincare\, fresh and organic produce and so much more! \nSome of the food offerings from last year’s festival \n  \nAt its core\, Singapore Vegan Festival is aimed at spreading awareness about plant-based food and proving that vegan doesn’t have to be boring. In the west\, sales of vegan products are increasing at more than 200% each year and a similar boom can be seen in Singapore as well. There is an abundance of fabulous vegan options in Singapore that the Singapore Vegan Festival intends to showcase. Geared towards encouraging vegans to explore fresh options and offer interesting alternatives for those who are curious about a vegan lifestyle\, the festival embraces people across their vegan journey. \nWith an increasing focus on health and wellbeing and an increasing drive to save the planet from the climate crisis\, more and more people are being driven to eat less meat. There is finally a global consensus that plants are a healthier and more sustainable way to feed the masses. The festival aims to draw attention to this through amazing vegan food\, guest speakers\, cooking demonstrations\, panel discussions\, and an array of stalls of vegan products and services. \nThe ethical\, environmental and health benefits of veganism deserve a platform and the festival is a leap towards that. The event will be hosted on Delegate PLAY\, a 3D\, immersive virtual environment that emulates an actual convention centre\, complete with a virtual lobby\, exhibition halls and exhibitor booths. Attendees will be able to visit virtual booths and interact with vendors through multiple touch points that include a resource hub where attendees are able to download product brochures and essential documents\, an online availability calendar for booking consultation slots\, a virtual meeting room to conduct meetings\, a live chat function as well as e-commerce integrations to instantly purchase service offerings from vendors. \nPanel discussion at last year’s festival \n  \nWhile the festival is a great opportunity for small businesses to promote a vegan lifestyle through their products\, it doesn’t leave behind the amazing vegan-friendly restaurants in Singapore. Restaurants like The Peranakan\, Shahi Maharani\, Jamie’s Italian\, Sufood and The Living Café will run exclusive vegan dine-in specials during the week of the festival. SUMMARY:Sugar and Spice Festival November 2020
DESCRIPTION:The Sugar and Spice Festival is a festival that aims to change the belief that people raised in traditional societies are unable to express themselves when it comes to sex. Our conservative upbringing has led to sex has becoming a taboo topic not to be spoken of at home. As a result\, many of us become shameful of talking about our preferences and attitudes. \nThe Sugar and Spice Festival aims to impart positive messages and learning around sex\, sexuality and sexual wellness. We want to empower participants to listen\, learn and find wellness. \nThroughout this festival we will work to change the mindset of participants\, freeing them from any cultural norms that have resulted in low sexual self-esteem and a fear of enjoying the pleasures of sex. We aim to fill the gaps on the lack of sexual education and positive role models when it comes to sexuality. \nThe online nature of our Festival let participants from all over the world connect with others who may have a similar upbringing. To ensure that the sessions are dynamic and interactive\, speakers and facilitators are all experts in their field. The Festival programme includes a range of talks\, workshops\, guided meditations\, dances\, breathwork and yoga. \n \nJoin us this November now! \n\nImages : Sugar and Spice

SUMMARY:Run for Hope 2020
DESCRIPTION:Since its inception in 1993\, the annual Run for Hope aims to raise much-needed awareness\, funds\, and support for cancer research\, with the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) as the beneficiary. \nMore than 10\,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year\, with the disease accounting for 1 in 4 deaths in Singapore. Hence\, it is no longer rare to find someone we know who is or was affected by cancer. Research projects spearheaded by National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) are crucial in bringing hope to all who live with the shadow of cancer in their lives. Through continuous support\, Run for Hope can make a difference in the lives of those affected. \nIn light of existing government regulations and current sentiments towards large-scale events\, the Run for Hope organising committee has decided to convert Run for Hope 2020 into a virtual run. \nThe virtual run will take place from 4 November to 31 December 2020. \nThis is to ensure that we provide the safest possible experience for our participants\, while still \nsupporting cancer patients and research in Singapore. \nThe 3.5km and 10km race categories will remain the same\, but a new 25km category has been added for runners who want to run a longer distance. Runners can choose to complete their chosen category in one go\, or run the distance over a few runs within the period of 4 November to 31 December 2020. \nIf you are already a registered participant\, no additional action is required on your part as your run slot will be automatically converted to the new virtual run. Please visit this link for a step-by-step guide on how to submit your run results. \nRegistrations through our Run For Hope 2020 website will remain open until 2359 Hours on 31 December 2020 for all who want to support this worthy cause. Participants’ race packs will be couriered to their mailing addresses upon submission of run results. \nPlease keep a lookout on our website www.runforhope.sg and our Facebook page for further updates. You may also support our cancer cause by making a donation towards cancer research through https://www.giving.sg/campaigns/rfh2020 \nDates: 4 Nov to 31 Dec 2020 \nYou can get more information and sign up at this link: www.runforhope.sg \n\nImage: Run for Hope

SUMMARY:Ultimate Female Charity Run in Africa
DESCRIPTION:As we celebrate International Women’s Day this coming Sunday\, 8th March 2020\, we will be bringing you a series of articles and interviews that are in line with this year’s theme “Each for Equal”. Join us as we celebrate womanhood and challenge gender stereotypes\, broaden perceptions and celebrate individual female achievements! \nSince its inception in 2017\, the Serengeti Girls Run has become a highlight on the events calendar. Singita has just released the dates for the third annual event\, which is held in partnership with the Grumeti Fund in Singita Grumeti\, a private 350\,00-acre concession in Tanzania. \nEntries are now open for this iconic three-day\, 63km run through the vast plains of the Serengeti\, taking place from 27th October to 1st November 2020. The entire experience spans five days and this all-women run will support the empowerment of girls in adjacent rural areas. \nThe multi-stage event is suitable for runners of all levels who will encounter an abundance of wildlife and breathtaking scenery as they cover 21 km each day. The women will be accompanied by scouts from the Grumeti Fund Anti-Poaching Unit\, and a support team in a shadow vehicle to take care of their safety and comfort throughout the entire event. \nOn completion of the run\, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Grumeti Fund’s community and conservation programs\, including a 5km fun run and career fair for local high school girls. They’ll also visit the Anti-Poaching Canine Unit and take a tour of the new center for Research and Innovation in the Serengeti Ecosystem (RISE). \nThis exclusive experience\, which is part of Singita’s collection of ‘Safaris with a Purpose’\, is aimed at raising funds for empowerment programs for girls. Donations to the Grumeti Fund assist in running empowerment events for 5\,000 high school girls\, including the provision of sanitary pads for one year; and scholarships for 80 local secondary school learners for vocational studies and university. \nSingita Sabora Tented Camp\, situated on the plains of the Serengeti\, is the luxurious base for five nights. Participants will return to the utmost comfort to recuperate after each day’s run\, experiencing a quintessential tented safari under canvas. Following a redesign\, Sabora’s new look will be unveiled in June 2020. Each of the nine tented suites will feature a private meditation deck with views of the surrounding grasslands\, a beautifully curated in-room pantry and an outdoor deck with daybeds. With tents set close to the ground\, guests are continuously connected with the sights and sounds of the bush. \nEarly evening game drives provide a front-row seat to incredible game-viewing in this exclusive protected reserve in the western corridor of the Serengeti\, and guests have the opportunity to book restorative massages in the treatment room or in the comfort of their suite. \nThis is an inimitable opportunity to experience a Serengeti safari while contributing to the empowerment of girls in Africa. The Serengeti Girls Run 2020 takes place from 27 October to November 1. The experience costs S$6\,240 per person (single) or S$4\,855 per person (sharing) for the all-inclusive 5-night package (full board)\, including return flights on Grumeti Air from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Singita Grumeti; and an additional tax-deductible donation to the Grumeti Fund of S$21\,500 per person (single) or S$11\,790 per person (sharing)\, used to fund empowerment projects for girls and women. \nSpace is limited and so to book a place\, please email Katherine Cunliffe at info@grumetifund.org. \n\nImages: Serengeti Girls Run \n
