SUMMARY:Singapore’s Largest Free Meditation Event
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the demands of daily life? The familiar advice to “Just take a moment and breathe” often feels easier said than done. Yet\, there’s a profound truth behind this simple suggestion. In Singapore\, stress is an ever-present reality for many\, with 87% of individuals reporting feeling stressed in 2023\, which is notably higher than the global average. Alarmingly\, 16% of Singaporeans feel that their stress is “not manageable”. These statistics reflect the reality many face daily in our citystate. \nAs we approach the new year\, many are looking for fresh starts through diet trends or fitness fads. But what if the key to a healthier mind and body lies in a practice as ancient as time itself? Meditation has been shown to enhance mood\, boost focus\, and cultivate resilience – qualities we all need as we navigate life’s ups and downs. \nHis Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami leading meditation and answering queries at Journey to Inner Peace 2018 \nHimalayan Samarpan Meditation is a transformative practice rooted in the timeless spiritual traditions of the Himalayas. Founded by His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami\, or ‘Swamiji\,’ this meditation technique is designed to offer profound simplicity and power\, providing a pathway to inner peace and self-realization. Baba Swami\, after years of intense spiritual training under the mentorship of Himalayan Gurus\, introduced Himalayan Samarpan Meditation to the world in 1994. Since then\, he has dedicated himself to sharing this practice globally\, empowering individuals with tools to access deep states of calm\, resilience\, and spiritual connection and inspiring numerous global platforms\, including Journey to Inner Peace (https://www.journey2innerpeace.com/) in Singapore. \nSince 2015\, Journey to Inner Peace has organized annual free-to-attend meditation events in Singapore\, led by His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami\, attracting over 1\,500 attendees each year. The organization also hosts daily and weekly group meditations at their Singapore headquarters\, creating a welcoming space for individuals to practice Himalayan Samarpan Meditation together. This consistent presence has fostered a strong community dedicated to well-being and soulful living\, providing Singaporeans with ongoing access to transformative meditation experiences. \nThe first Journey to Inner Peace meditation event in 2015\, drawing over 1\,800 people \nFree public event details\nDate: Saturday\, 9 November 2024\nVenue: Sands Expo and Convention Centre\, Level 3\, Hibiscus Ballroom\nDress code: Comfortable \n\nImages: Journey to Inner Peace

The event is expected to attract full capacity at The Theatre at Mediacorp. \nGurudev’s commitment to advance mental health is the core of the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF)\, the non-profit organisation he founded in 1981. Whether it is in developing or developed countries\, in war or peace zones\, it is an issue that affects the entire world”. Referencing the World Health Organisation’s World Health Report 2022 findings of “one in every three individuals in the world suffering from anxiety and depression”\, he highlighted mental health and loneliness as the “silent epidemics”. \nGurudev’s holistic programme\, with emphasis on treatment and preventive care aligns with Singapore’s national mental health and well-being strategy. AOLF is pulling out all the stops to ensure the Masterclass offers the solution to maintaining optimum mental well-being for all. Gurudev is conducting the Masterclass as part of his 11 Countries Far East Asia Tour\, heralding a reinvigorated mindset towards mental health as a universal human right. SUMMARY:Love & Light Festival Returns For a Second Year
DESCRIPTION:After it’s inaugural run last year\, the Love & Light Festival is back at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention. Organised by Laughing Soul\, the festival is set to bring an even more comprehensive line-up of “lightworkers”\, exhibitors and retailers to provide guidance and support for festival goers on a journey of self-discovery of the mind\, body and soul. What’s different this year is that the festival will run twice this year – the first one taking place from 10 to 12 May and the second run happening from 29 November to 1 December. Admission to both is free. \n \nExplore\, discover and awaken\nFind deeper meaning to one’s life and purpose through this festival as you meet practitioners who may shed light to your questions of restlessness; help clear and cleanse negative energy or emotions while you go on a self-healing journey with cards or crystals reading. Converse with likeminded individuals or curious seekers who are searching for ways to be the best of themselves and bring positivity to others. \n \nAt last year’s Love & Light Festival \n  \n“My goal is to connect people through Love & Light Festival\, to allow them to see the love and light within us\, and spread that to every soul we touch – be it family\, friends\, colleagues or even acquaintances. To be honest\, the first step itself is already not an easy feat. Life is never a bed of roses and it is downright challenging at times\, with all the chaos and struggles to just keep up. What we want to do is provide the platform and the environment for people to pause (for some healing)\, to take stock (review and reflect) and to get clarity through the guidance provided in the festival. This will hopefully help them discover that spark within so that peace and serenity can be realised\,” said Ms Ng Hui Ling\, founder of Laughing Soul and the organiser of Love & Light Festival. \nThe lightworkers\n  \n \nFirst time participants of Love & Light Festival this year include renowned stone master Graham Cox from England\, who has been practicing since he was 14 years old. He is the founder of Stones Journey and will be sharing on the various types of crystals and their benefits\, alongside Justin Saw and Eugene Leong of The Crystal Alley\, who will read your oracle cards and aura to bring clarity of the chakra one possesses. \nBack from last year are Jasmine Miller\, who uses insights and visions to take you on a personal spiritual discovery journey; be captivated by Australian artist Angela Millar whose art pieces are created to bring serenity to your soul. The trio from YIS of Light\, Tung Ya Ning\, Iris Leng and Samuel Soon\, will guide you on the spiritual path to discover your Divine Self. SUMMARY:Awaken to Tantra Weekend
DESCRIPTION:This weekend is an embodied introduction to Tantra and the fascinating possibilities of sexual shamanism. We explore how to cultivate & circulate our life force energy\, which includes our sexual energy and our potential for creative expression. \nThe weekend is influenced by the teachings of the Vijñāna-bhairava-tantra\, a 1200-year-old manual of Tantrik Yoga\, specialising in micro-meditations. Tantrik Yoga offers people living in the world world uniquely powerful technologies for expanding awareness and shifting emotional states. One of the key technologies are micro-meditations\, meaning centering techniques that you can do in a few minutes. \n\n  \nThe weekend also includes meditation\, movement\, touch\, breath work\, NLP\, kundalini yoga\, and dance (influenced by Argentinian Tango & open movement). \nMany of us have become disconnected\, numbed\, and lacking in self-esteem. This weekend will assist you: \n\nBack into connection (starting with YOU)\nTo feel more or support you to work with all you do feel\nTo feel empowered to also choose pleasure\, if you so desire\n\nWe will be offering tools to connect deeper with YOU\, guiding you to explore inner masculine and feminine energies such as giving and receiving\, culminating in a beautiful self-love ceremony. \nWhat will you take home?\nYou will be invited to take home practical tools to: \n\nConnect with your subtle sexuality; the refined movements of sexual energy in the body\nIncrease resilience to periods of stress by learning or un-learning how to work with the nervous system.\nBe more aware of the emotional body to uncover and own the potency of your desire and emotional triggers.\nExpand & deepen your intimacy in relating with yourself\, partners and others.\nUse pleasure – to expand your orgasmic potential and affect personal transformation – rather than sitting with pain or dissatisfaction\nIncrease the present pleasure ceiling of your being\nBridge science and spirituality through the interfaces of the social engagement nervous system\, parasympathetic system\, vagus nerve & psoas muscle.\n\nWho is Awaken to Tantra weekend for?\nThis workshop is suitable for everyone. Individuals\, friends or couples seeking to expand their personal freedom\, and enhance pleasure in their being through exploring deeper levels of union with self. \nIrrespective of whether you are a complete beginner to the world of Tantra\, sacred sexuality or conscious relating\, or you have many years of experience\, you’ll learn new skills and know more about yourself than you did before the experience. \nNo prior experience in meditation\, energetic work\, or sensual environments required. The weekend is clothes-on. (i.e the workshop does not involve nudity or hands-on intimate touch). \nThere will be invitations to participate in consensual touch\, and you choose your level of participation. The weekend does not have a specific sexual objective. The intensity level is light to medium. \nAt the beginning of our time together\, we will establish boundaries together\, so that every participant feels fully honoured and supported in moving only as fast and as far as their sense of safety permits. No one is required to do anything they do not want to do\, so each person decides their level of involvement\, without peer group pressure. \n\nSchedule\n\n\n\nDate\nTime\nTopic\n\n\n23 March\n10am to 1pm\nEmbodied Contempory Foundation\nWhere Tantra and Sexual Shamanism meet\n\n\n2.15pm to 6pm\nAwakening the 3 bodies\n\n\n24 March\n10am to 1pm\nFoundation of the ViganaBhairava Tantra\n\n\n2.15pm to 6pm\nSubtle sexuality and using orgasmic potential to affect personal transformation\n\n\n\n About the facilitator – Binoy Milton D’souza\nBinoy Milton D’souza is an international tantric guide and creator of global temple arts events.
