SUMMARY:Virtual: Break The Wall of Silence – An Interactive Talk by Anju Kish
DESCRIPTION:Break The Wall of Silence – An Interactive Talk by Anju Kish\, Sex Educator\, Author\, Founder\, UnTaboo\nParenting does not come with a user manual! \n\nMy child likes to run around naked in the house. Till what age is that ok?\nMy child saw my sanitary napkins and asked what it is. What shall I say?\nMy child is asking how does the baby get into the mother’s tummy?\nChild sexual abuse cases are on the rise. How can I protect my little one?\nIs it ok for my child to see the parents being physically affectionate?\nMy child is playing with his private parts\, should I stop him?\n\nAs the kids grow… so does their curiosity. \n\nHow do the Parents tackle this curiousity?\nDo you initiate the conversation even if the child is not asking?\nWhen and how to start having these conversations?\nWho should have this conversation with the child?\nHow to answer the awkward questions kids ask?\nHow to create an open relationship with kids?\n\nAll this and more…. \nIn an exclusive talk for parents on Zoom. \nThe increasing exposure of Kids to adult content has raised their curiosity levels \nSome openly ask what’s on their mind while most turn to the internet to satisfy their curiosity. \nAge-inappropriate content on the internet is creating havoc \nThe solution lies in Sex Education \nIt gives kids age-appropriate answers & helps them form responsible & safe attitudes \nThe term ‘Sex Education’ could be a scary one for a parent. \nWe are scared because we do not understand what it means & construe it to be a talk on sex with our children\, and thus run away from it. Parents also shy away from sex education as they themselves lack clarity on concepts & feel ill equipped to tackle questions. \nSex education is not just about sex. It is a wide term and even kids as young as 2 need sex education! \nWell\, attend UnTaboo’s highly enlightening\, interactive\, impactful & fun session! \nBREAK THE WALL OF SILENCE \nTo know & to understand: \n\nWhat all does Sex Education cover\nWhen & how to start having these conversations\nWho should have this conversation with the kids\nHow much is enough\nThe impact: positive & negative of having or not having this conversation.\nHow to answer the awkward questions kids ask\nHow to create an open relationship with kids & teens\nHow to become an askable parent\n\nBut it doesn’t just end there. \n\nThe talk helps you get over your inhibitions\nEnables understanding on various sex-ed related topics including gender\, sexuality\, & more\nIt empowers you to naturally talk to children & create a closer bond with them\n\nThis session is designed to break down walls\, understand concepts\, enable open conversations\, make awkward subjects not so awkward\, and put a parent on the path of becoming an askable parent. It is a liberating experience both for the parent and the child. \nAnd most importantly\, makes you a part of big social change to raise a more aware and responsible future generation\, leading to a safer society. \nDuration of the Talk: 2 hours – VERY INTERACTIVE SESSION USING AUDIO-VISUAL MEDIUM \nNumber of Participants:  Any number (Parents of children aged 2 to 21) \nHappy participants speak… \n“I thought I was very liberal and open minded and could talk openly to my kids\, but Anju’s talk opened my eyes to a completely new perspective. It’s an extremely impactful talk and she makes it super interactive and fun!” – Aneesha Patel\, Indore \n “The talk conducted by Anju Kish was able to bring clarity in the minds of teachers and parents and dispel a lot of myths. It was an eye-opener of how ignorant they were on certain issues and at the same time a great exposure on how to handle queries on such issues. Ms. Anju handled the sessions with ease and great poise. A great session and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.” – Garimaa Sethi – School Counselor\, Mayo College\, Ajmer \nDate: Sat 16 March 2024 \nTime: 4 – 5:30p.m. SGT \nPlatform: Zoom \nInvestment: S$25 \nThis session will not be recorded.

SUMMARY:Sugar and Spice Festival November 2020
DESCRIPTION:The Sugar and Spice Festival is a festival that aims to change the belief that people raised in traditional societies are unable to express themselves when it comes to sex. Our conservative upbringing has led to sex has becoming a taboo topic not to be spoken of at home. As a result\, many of us become shameful of talking about our preferences and attitudes. \nThe Sugar and Spice Festival aims to impart positive messages and learning around sex\, sexuality and sexual wellness. We want to empower participants to listen\, learn and find wellness. \nThroughout this festival we will work to change the mindset of participants\, freeing them from any cultural norms that have resulted in low sexual self-esteem and a fear of enjoying the pleasures of sex. We aim to fill the gaps on the lack of sexual education and positive role models when it comes to sexuality. \nThe online nature of our Festival let participants from all over the world connect with others who may have a similar upbringing. To ensure that the sessions are dynamic and interactive\, speakers and facilitators are all experts in their field. The Festival programme includes a range of talks\, workshops\, guided meditations\, dances\, breathwork and yoga. \n \nJoin us this November now! \n\nImages : Sugar and Spice

SUMMARY:Sexy is Okay! Festival
DESCRIPTION:A 2-day virtual fest that aims to empower\, redefine sexiness\, challenge stigmas and make “sexy” attainable for everyone in a safe space.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\n25th November is the International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women\nThe “Why” behind this campaign:\nWomen are often objectified as sexual beings\, sometimes resulting in them recieving mistreatment and violence. As a way to protect themselves\, women and men hide their sexy side as a means to protect themselves\, further affirming the societal belief that sexiness is inviting assault. \nWe present our “Sexy is Okay” campaign in an effort to build awareness on what it means to be sexy. To challenge the stigma and judgement attached to sexiness because sexiness and violence have NO correlation. \nWe hope more people will feel positive about expressing their sexiness – in whatever form it takes for them\, and live their lives with more confidence\, security and awareness. \nJump into this 2-day online festival with us\, as we probe the tricky topic on sexiness in a safe environment\, explore the challenges in expressing our sexual sides and hear inspiring stories from individuals who have walked the path. \nFind out more about our event here! \nFollow us on our Facebook or Instagram for updates! \n\n\nSexy is Okay Online Fest\nWhat to expect\n1.
