DESCRIPTION:After a 2-year hiatus since the pandemic\, SATA CommHealth will be celebrating the return of their annual Community Health Day! Happening next Saturday\, 8th July 2023 at Toa Payoh HDB Hub\, this public event will also have the esteemed presence of their new chairman Mr Tan Boon Gin\, as well as Guest of Honor\, MP Gan Siow Huang\, to support this momentous occasion. \nSATA Community Health Day celebrates the organisation’s ongoing efforts to advocate and outreach to the general public on health prevention information\, aligned with MOH’s Healthier Singapore initiative. \nAs part of the SATA Community Health Day event\, below are some key highlights that the public can look forward to: \n\nThree Generations Caring Together: In collaboration with Ai Tong Primary School\, students\, together with their fathers\, will be packing SATA CommHealth medical boxes for the community. These boxes will be distributed to elderly residents\, accompanied by a demonstration on proper usage. This activity not only promotes intergenerational bonding but also raises awareness about healthcare for the elderly.\nFalls Prevention and Assessment: SATA CommHealth’s therapy team will be onsite to provide fall prevention and assessment services. As falls are a significant health concern among the elderly\, this initiative aims to identify potential risks and provide guidance on prevention strategies. Additionally\, there will be other healthcare booths under SATA\, such as on Advance Care Planning and Lasting Power of Attorney\, and there will be dieticians to give advice on healthy bones.\nBasic Health Screening: Eligible residents will have the opportunity to undergo basic health screening\, including height\, weight\, and receive health advisory.
