Covering a distance between 1.5km to 2.8km\, the walkathon is designed as a non-competitive\, inclusive walk suitable for participants of all ages. Throughout the walkathon\, participants will encounter multiple pit-stops thoughtfully designed to highlight the importance of COVID-19 vaccinations and the lessons learned from the pandemic. Each pit-stop engages participants in activities that are both informative and entertaining. The walk culminates with a meaningful pledge\, fostering a sense of commitment and unity among all participants. \nTailored for three-generation families to come together\, the event also features a dynamic format comprising of a carnival that is open to everyone\, complete with health screening booths\, informative health talks\, captivating performances\, and bouncy castles to keep children entertained. Participants can look forward to a plethora of carnival activities including a Handprint Board\, a Carnival Games Zone featuring Giant Jenga and Country Eraser\, and a lively Photobooth for creating lasting memories. Additionally\, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the soothing practice of TaiChi and Wushu demonstration. SUMMARY:POSB PAssion Run For Kids 2023
DESCRIPTION:As part of the POSB PAssion Kids Fund fundraising drive\, the annual POSB PAssion Run for Kids event\, Singapore’s longest-running race of its kind\, returns as an in-person event after being held in hybrid and virtual formats over the past three years. Jointly organised by POSB and the People’s Association\, the POSB PAssion Run for Kids brings together families\, friends and communities for an unforgettable day of fun and bonding while raising funds for a good cause. The event will be held at the The Promontory at Marina Bay\, where participants can take in spectacular views of Singapore’s iconic bayfront as they race alongside their family and friends. \nThis year’s event theme\, Kids Run the World\, is a celebration of children’s individuality and their roles as the future natives and caretakers of our Earth. The event comprises six different individual and group race categories\, including the all-time favourite ‘Team of 4 challenge’\, with a total of over S$12\,000 worth of prizes to be won. \n \nSome new highlights this year include: \n\nA limited edition POSB Run for Kids Smart Buddy watch strap\, which can be redeemed for free when participating kids clock a minimum of 1.2km starting from 1 October to the event day with their Smart Buddy watches\, as an encouragement for them to stay active and healthy. Participating kids can show the monthly distance travelled via the Smart Buddy app’s watch sync feature at the Smart Buddy booth on race day to redeem the strap. \nUnder the ‘Team of 4 challenge’\, there will also be an inaugural race segment specially for National Servicemen\, as a way of fostering a sense of camaraderie and strengthening the bond between the community and those who serve our nation.
