DESCRIPTION:HomeTeamNS’s annual flagship event\, REAL® (Regular Exercise\, Active Lifestyle) Run\, is back with a return to in-person race\, after two years as a virtual run. Established in 1996\, REAL® Run started out as an initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle amongst Home Team NSmen\, by Home Team NSmen. Runners can look forward to the water curtain jet spray flag-off by Singapore Civil Defence Force’s Red Rhino\, features that are unique to HomeTeamNS’ REAL® Run. \nIn commemoration of the NS55 theme this year – Generations of Strength\, HomeTeamNS is specially inviting Father-&-Child pairs to participate through a giveaway on their Facebook page. A pair of Father-&-Child REAL® Runners who participated last year in particular has shared that their motivation for joining was to combat their increasingly sedentary lifestyle\, and to work towards a common goal of participating in an overseas marathon together; aligned with REAL® Run’s objective of regular exercise\, active lifestyle. \nRunners can partake in either a 5km or a 10km route starting from Gardens by the Bay\, and the event is open to the public. SUMMARY:Run for Hope 2022
DESCRIPTION:Join the 2022 Limitless Run for Hope! Organized by Limitless\, a non-profit organization founded with the desire to see every youth given the opportunity to live out their potential. Every dollar raised through this run will go towards supporting youth mental health work. \nLast year they managed to raise S$48\,365 through The Limitless Run 2021. This helped them provide about 744 counselling sessions for youths in need of mental health treatment. This year\, they hope to raise even more! \n \nIt’s not very hard to your part\, just sign up for the run\, and since this is a virtual run\, all runners can complete it at their own time. They will be encouraged to use a running app to track and record their time and distance. A medal will be sent to them after verifying the distance you have run. \nBesides the finisher’s medal\, all participants will also be entitled to a race pack\, and runners in the 10km and 100km solo categories are entitled to a race tee.
