The Woodleigh Mall has set up a Fun Arena at the Main Atrium at Level 1 from now till 11 June and is based on three concepts synonymous with their offerings: Play, Learn, Savour.

  • Play: Taking place in a living room setup, try out an immersive and interactive game with the AR game console
  • Learn: In this quirky setting, solve maths equations through action-packed fun and use a bow and arrow to successfully hit the target number for your answers.
  • Savour: Inspired by the game of Pong, throw food plushies into matching coloured buckets to win at this game.

To qualify, shoppers need to spend S$30 in a single receipt and present it at the Main Atrium to gain access. Each receipt is exchangeable for 1 pass to the Fun Arena.

4. Take part in Jem’s 10th Birthday celebrations

If The Woodleigh Mall is too far from you, then perhaps you may want to head on over to Jem and take part in their 10th Birthday celebrations! They’ve got a Ten-tastic Carnival showcasing an array of carnival games from 15-18 June, between 11am to 9pm at Levels 2 and 3. With exciting games such as Shoot The Duck, Ring Toss, Blow The Candles, Coin Toss and Feed The Hungry Bear in the line-up, there are so many ways to Play for a Cause this June! 5. Relive the adventure of Jurassic Park at NEX

An immersive walk through the gates of Jurassic Park

From now till 18 June, 11am to 9pm, step into a prehistoric world of dinosaurs at NEX Atrium, Level 1, where visitors will return to Isla Nublar and journey through the iconic “Jurassic Park” gates. Stand in awe before the pack of velociraptors and the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex! Spot exciting scenes from the film as you stroll through the installations while capturing your trip throughout the dinosaur theme park.

Look forward to a number of exciting activations happening at the “Jurassic Park” walk-through install from from now till 18 June, 12pm to 8pm. Children will especially love the LEGO and Mattel Play Zone where they get to turn their imagination into reality with brick play and get to assemble the five LEGO play sets from the all-new LEGO Jurassic Park product line.

At the Mattel Play Zone, children can participate in the colouring session of their favourite dinosaur when they purchase a product from Mattel’s “Jurassic Park” toy range. What’s more, those who take part in the mini colouring competition gets to receive free “Jurassic Park” stickers and the top 3 best colour sheets stand the chance to win exciting prizes worth over S$300.

Participate in the Spit Blocker Challenge

For the older kids, the Spit Blocker Challenge might be something up their alley. Simply scan the QR codes placed around the walk-through installation to play the game. The mission? Move your phone and tap on as many Dilophosaurus’ frills to block the spitting attacks within 60 seconds. Players with AR-enabled devices can also snap a picture of the Dilophosaurus using the game’s AR feature!

Come face to face with the highly intelligent velociraptor from 9 to 11 June and 16 to 18 June at NEX Atrium. The meeting sessions are at 1pm, 2pm, 4pm and 5pm daily. NEXrewards members who spend a minimum of S$50 in a single transaction on the same day get to redeem a priority photo-pass for a family of 4.

6. Visit EATBOX alongside Singapore Badminton Open 2023

EATBOX by INVADE is back and will be happening next to the Singapore Badminton Open 2023, from now till 11 June 2023. This year’s EATBOX is located at the Singapore Sports Hub, OCBC Square and is free to the public. Do note that their opening hours are as follows:

Weekdays: 4 to 10pm
Weekends: 12 to 10pm

Attendees can expect to tickle their taste buds from savoury bites to lip smacking dessert and refreshing thirst quenchers! Moreover, there are interactive experiences such as VR and Arcade Games located at a corner of EATBOX. And for badminton enthusiasts, they’ve planned exciting activities at their Airbadminton Court!

7. Visit i Light Singapore and Gastrobeats 2023

Asia’s leading sustainable light festival, i Light Singapore 2023, is happening from now till 25 June and this year, festival goers can look forward to fun games designed around relatable themes of self-care, sustainable living and being future ready. For those who love to take photos, do look out for instagrammable visual installations, including artwork that will later be recycled and given a new lease of life. For example, DBS is presenting the Blumiwave at the Mist Walk, an artwork that aims to raise awareness of blue energy, an alternative renewable energy source harnessed from the sea and river waters. After the festival, the plastics used in the build of Blumiwave will be recycled by Magorium, a social enterprise that converts plastic waste into a sustainable construction material called “NEWBitumen”, which can be used to pave eco-roads.

After enjoying the art installations, head over to Gastrobeats, the festival village of i Light Singapore, for an exciting array of activities – all of which are free for play!

  • Live performances by the community every Friday and Saturday: From 6pm to 7pm every Friday and Saturday, DBS will be presenting an enthralling line-up of performances by local talents who exemplify what it means to rise above life’s challenges. From jazz and classical piano and drumming performances, to pop music and soprano acts and more, festival goers can expect to be blown away by these talented and resilient individuals who embody what it truly means to be a hero.
  • Transform food waste into animal feed and fertilisers: Ento Industries, also a business for impact supported by DBS Foundation, is coming in as GastroBeats’ food waste solution partner! Using its horde of Black Soldier Flies, all food waste collected from festival goers and vendors at GastroBeats will be sent to Ento Industries for conversion into high-value end products such as animal feed and fertilisers.
  • Explore sustainable fashion at the DBS Zone: Festival goers can glam up their Glambot reels with accessories fromFashion Pulpit, a social enterprise that aims to promote environmental education and awareness in the field of fashion. Fashion Pulpit will also be styling mannequins with upcycled looks, which will be displayed at the ‘Find Your Spark’ booth.

8. Staycation at Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore
