Frasers Property Retail, the retail-focused platform under Frasers Property Singapore, has launched a new rewards initiative designed to encourage more shoppers and their families to adopt eco-conscious habits. This new layer of perks is part of a wider initiative to contribute towards zero waste and carbon reduction in the longer term. DBS/POSB are the official programme partners for FRx Eco-Perks.

From 24 March to 30 April, shoppers at The Malls of Frasers Property can earn Eco-Perks in several ways. They can contribute non-perishable food items to The Food Bank Singapore to help ease food insecurity for the needy, purchase food items from outlets after 8pm to help reduce daily food waste, and avoid using single-use plastics when taking food away to help lessen the impact of plastic waste.

By encouraging shoppers to act on sustainability and adopt new habits, Frasers Property Retail hopes to help raise awareness that small acts can lead to longer term positive impact on the community and the environment. With FRx Eco-Perks, shoppers can start their eco-conscious journey together with their families and friends in a fun, rewarding and meaningful way.

Addressing Food Insecurity in Partnership with Shoppers and Tenants

Every mall is a member of the community in which it serves. Recognising this, Frasers Property Retail has teamed up with volunteers from McDonald’s Singapore, Metro, Koufu, and Toys’R’Us to pack and distribute food bundles for 100 households in the Tiong Bahru precinct.

Shoppers can also play a part in ensuring the less privileged have access to nutritious food by supporting the year-long donation drive for The Food Bank Singapore. This year, The Malls of Frasers Property aim to collect 15,000 kilogrammes of non-perishable food items. The donation drive kicks off on 24 March and will last throughout the year at 12 Malls of Frasers Property across Singapore, including The Centrepoint, Northpoint City, Century Square and White Sands.

Shoppers are encouraged to bring along non-perishable food items with a four-week shelf-life for donation at the collection spots located in the malls across Singapore. Every five items donated entitles an individual shopper to a S$2 FRx Gift Card courtesy of DBS/POSB. The Food Bank Singapore boxes are conveniently located next to the Customer Service Counters.

Fighting Food Waste by Purchasing F&B Items after 8PM

To support its F&B tenants in achieving zero food waste, Frasers Property Retail is incentivising shoppers to consider purchasing food items from F&B tenants after 8pm. Every S$30 spent on food and drinks after 8pm and paid for with a DBS/POSB Credit or Debit Card will entitle shoppers to a S$6 FRx Gift Card.

This unprecedented initiative will contribute towards minimising the amount of food discarded at the end of operating hours, while offering shoppers another way to satisfy their cravings and do their part for a more sustainable environment.

Alongside initiatives designed to reduce food insecurity and waste at its malls, The Malls of Frasers Property is also rolling out a suite of programmes and workshops to further encourage shoppers to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle. Shoppers can earn 200 FRx Points when they participate in any of the programmes and workshops at the malls.
