nEbO has introduced a certified Peer Supporters Programme (PSP) in collaboration with Limitless Singapore in the month of October in recognition of World Mental Health Day. This programme is a continuous effort by nEbO to engage and raise awareness of mental wellness amidst the rising rate of mental health-related issues among youth in recent years.
Officially launching in Q1 of 2023, this initiative is vital as the youth community needs to be equipped with basic peer support and mental wellness knowledge. To be qualified for PSP, youths are required to go through a 15-hour training programme conducted by Limitless Singapore.
Qualified youths will then represent nEbO in mental health related conventions and dialogues. PSP will be officially launched in the first quarter of 2023; the youth community is on the lookout for more youths keen to grow this mental well-being and support community.
PSP nominees are shortlisted from ongoing nEbO leadership training programmes with Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute (OTCi). These youth leaders possess exceptional leadership qualities and express a keen interest in mental wellness.
Leom Sheng Peng and Glennis Ang are two nEbO leaders from the PSP pioneer batch who will be the first to embark for this programme as well as Asher Low, Founder of Limitless Singapore.
