Homegrown Brand AIBI Launches Ultimate 6-in-1 Wellness & Lifestyle Playground

AIBI International, a household name in health, beauty and fitness, celebrates its 37th year of innovation by answering the call for creative projects to transform State properties and land into vibrant places for the community. Launched by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) in 2019, the RSVP programme called for tender proposals that can inject vibrancy and enhance the character of precincts.

With the launch of AIBI Maxwell, Tanjong Pagar, one of the oldest historical districts in Singapore, is now the first to have a unique wellness playground suitable for all ages.

“We launched the Reinventing Spaces into Vibrant Places (RSVP) programme to transform and reimagine State properties and the surrounding open spaces into exciting destinations for the public to enjoy, and AIBI Maxwell is the first site to be completed under the programme. AIBI has brought in a health and wellness focus to 30 Maxwell Road, and transformed the site into a delightful and welcoming place with fitness and F&B offerings. Located at Tanjong Pagar, AIBI Maxwell is in line with our wider efforts to rejuvenate the Central Business District (CBD) by injecting more mixed-uses to the precinct. We encourage more businesses to partner us to strengthen and enliven our CBD as a lively precinct for residents to live, work and play.” said Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information & National Development Tan Kiat How.

AIBI Maxwell’s world-class wellness system consists of six concepts – an AIBI showroom, Dr.Well, RE:GYM, Huggs with Fitmeal and an abundant outdoor MW Space that will play host to regular sports and lifestyle events. The exterior’s fitness corner, dog gym, playground, swings and seating are also open for public use both day and night.

“The RSVP programme reflects the government’s efforts to partner with innovative businesses to optimise the use of State properties, in creative ways that will benefit the wider community. With its varied offerings and event programming, AIBI Maxwell will add on to Tanjong Pagar’s offerings and attract more people to meet and engage in health and wellness activities in this well-loved precinct,” said SLA’s Chief Executive Colin Low. “We look forward to AIBI Maxwell becoming a familiar destination for Singaporeans to work out and hang out with friends and family all year-round.”

We envisioned this development to be a vibrant lifestyle destination that integrates Health, Beauty and Fitness for people to keep fit, stay healthy, eat well, while experiencing fun and fulfilling activities together in order to achieve Maximum Wellness. As seen from the “Snake-and-ladder” motif designs on the zebra crossings leading into our property, we strongly believe helping one achieve holistic wellness through a playful yet goal-oriented journey.”

Housed on the second floor, RE:GYM is a state-of-the-art facility that’s more than just a gym. One can expect professionally planned group classes such as RE:SPIN and RE:HIIT and to revitalise their entire fitness experience with guidance from elite personal trainers.

The proprietary Dr.Well program at AIBI Maxwell meanwhile helps participants gain a better understanding of their brain health and learn how to optimise it through data-driven tests reviewed by professional therapists. Dr.Well’s programs and facilities will help with stress and fatigue management, ultimately improving sleep, productivity and performance.

At today’s launch of AIBI Maxwell, attended by Guest-of-Honour Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam, guests dined on healthy and organic meals from Fitmeal and enjoyed a tour of AIBI Maxwell’s extensive indoor and outdoor offerings.

Importantly, AIBI also announced its maiden foray into connected fitness through a partnership with Uniigym, a cloud-based virtual fitness application that utilises AI technology to deliver an interactive fitness experience.

Uniigym’s AI can create content 8-10 times faster than professional fitness video editors and motion-detection system can allowing content to “self-generate” music and special effects. Popular TV host and actor-producer Allan Wu was also unveiled as its first local celebrity trainer for the Uniigym app.

“AIBI is a brand that embraces innovation and we share a common belief that virtual training utilising AI-feedback is the future of fitness,” said fitness aficionado Wu, who weight trains and swim regularly. “This is an app that can be utilised by individuals of all ages, by entire families and also for school and employee fitness programs. For content creators and professional trainers, this could also be an additional revenue for them. I have absolute confidence in the growth potential of AI fitness.”

Uniigym is available on both iOS and Google app stores, while you can now book a class at AIBI Maxwell at www.aibimaxwell.com. For more on AIBI, visit www.aibifitness.com.
